Devany hit the first home run in Klein Family Field as he blasted a three run shot over the left field wall.<b>2005 (Junior): </b> <p>Devany saw limited action in his first year with the Tigers, posting an .083 batting average. His first hit as a Tiger came on Mar. 12 as he singled and scored a run in the Tigers' 9-7 loss to Portland. John was 1-for-1 with two walks in the contest.<b>Junior College: </b> <p>Devany came to Pacific following two seasons with the Chabot Gladiators. Devany helped the Gladiators to a combined 46-22 record in 2003 and 2004, including a Coast Conference Championship in 2004 as Chabot finished 20-5. As a sophomore, Devany finished the season with a .289 average, including seven doubles, six home runs, 29 RBI and a .512 slugging percentage. In his first season at Chabot, John had a .321 average with 21 RBI, 13 doubles, four round trippers and a .563 slugging percentage.<b>High School: </b> <p>Devany graduated from San Ramon Valley High School in Danville, Calif. where he earned a combined six letters in baseball (three) and football (three). In both his junior and senior seasons, John was named to the All-East Bay Athletic League Team in both baseball and football.<b>Personal: </b> <p>John Devany is the son of Don and Mimi Devany. John has two siblings, Joe (27) and Katie (25). In his third year at Pacific, John is concluding his business degree requirements.
